Oxytocin and brain development

Biosketch: After graduating from Zhejiang University with a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, Bao went to Tsinghua University to study for a master's degree in physics. In the laboratory of Prof. Erwin Neher, Bao received with summa cum laude the doctorate in neuroscience at the Max-Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen. Later on Bao continuted her research career with a Marie-Curie postdoc fellowship in the Brain Physiology Lab at CNRS, University Paris Descartes, France. Bao is currently Professor in the Brain Cognition and Brain Disease Institute at Shen Zhen Institute of Advanced Technology.

Dr. Bao's research is focused on the modulation of synaptic transmission and its dysfunction in mental diseases.
