The CBBM Research Center is a facility of the interdisciplinary research focus "Brain, Hormones and Behavior" of the University of Lübeck. The research building provides infrastructure and core facilities for groups working in the focus area and was funded by the federal and state governments after positive evaluation by the Science Council.

The use of the infrastructure of the CBBM research building is organized by the CBBM executive office. The assignment of rooms as well as the granting of work possibilities in laboratories intended for joint use and the possibilities of using equipment rooms and individual devices is the responsibility of the Chief Executive of the CBBM and is governed by the Regulation for the use of the CBBM (§4).
